Hello everyone. We are a group of elder parents whose sons, daughters or family members have suffered or are suffering from mental illnesses. Our greatest concern is, "What will happen to them once we are gone?" In order to find a solution to that question we have begun a project. This project which may potentially help a lot of people with mental illnesses is what this blog is all about
Our Cause…
We at Housing for Life Incorporated believe that a mental disorder (for example: Schizophrenia) should not become a burden so heavy that a person is rendered unable to take care of himself. We want to give them a fighting chance to prove to the world that they are strong inside. We want to create an environment where individuals with mental disorders can live and mingle with each other under supervision. A place where they can learn to live by themselves and interact with others. We want to give them an opportunity to develop their mental strength and social skills so that one day they can live by themselves in our world without fears or inhibitions.
